Description

Farewell and Adieu, Valou ! May the road rise up to meet you, may the wind be ever at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face and the rain fall softly on your fields. And until we meet again, may God hold you in the hollow of his hand. ~Irish Blessing Picture (water lily flower) taken in April 2006 in Parque de Maria Luisa (Sevilla) during my visit to Valou…

I just gave written permission to use my pictures for creating a Memorial page at the photographic site where Valou recently became a Forum moderator; see HERE ! I’d like to add my voice to the many people asking Renderosity staff to upload again Valerie Ducom’s gallery (this should be an easy task for programmers…) It’s an honor for this site to have had such a great artist among their members and I can’t think of a better tribute ! (I understand that Didier, Valerie’s partner, supports this request) Thank you Magali (Laelia) for initiating this fair request ! Dans la nuit de la Chandeleur 1975, Julos Beaucarne a osé écrire et dire à tous, dans des circonstances terrifiantes (le meurtre de son épouse): ”Je pense de toutes mes forces qu’il faut s’aimer à tort et à travers”. J’éprouve aujourd’hui le même sentiment…

A beautiful and touching tribute for her. Obvious she was much loved here at RR and other places as well. I would love the chance to view her work, but saw her gallery is empty. Hopefully it will be restored so we all might enjoy her beautiful art.

I was not aware RR took the gallery down. I wasn't aware they could do that but I'm not very clean on what the can and can't do. I think it is most important we keep her images if her estate allows it. I also think it would be a great idea to preserve the photos of all fallen RR members in a memorium section. We all could learn from these greats and also find our way through the grief. This is a stellar shot by the way. If there is anything I can do to facilitate the re-establishment of Val's,and in the future, others' work on RR, please let me know.

Beautiful photo and touching tribute. But she chose to remove her gallery, so it would be expressly going against her wishes to reinstate it. That seems like the wrong thing to do.

A perfect tribute and I agree, it would be lovely to see Val's gallery again. When she removed it I was saddened as I lost many of her images that I'd saved to my favourites, but I'm sure if it can be reinstated, then it will be (legalities permitting). My heartfelt sympathies to Val's family and friends. She will not be forgotten. Love and hugs Chrissy xx
