Description

Part of the Winery at the Biltmore Estate, North Carolina

JOKE:

A man walked into a bar with his giraffe, and asked the barman for a pint for himself & one for the giraffe. They drank up, and then a few more followed, and before long, the giraffe (who was a very inexperienced drinker) was flat on the floor. The man, naturally, couldn't carry such a large animal home, so he left it in the bar, and, as he was leaving, the barman yelled: "Hey, you can't leave that lyin' there!"

The man turned around and said, "It's OK, it's not a lion, it's a giraffe!"

Funny, it looks so antiseptic for a winery; I keep thinking of the old "I Love Lucy" where they were stomping grapes barefoot in a barrel...

The only wineries I've been to in Napa, California, have a little different set up but the rooms are huge where they do the separating. then off to big wooden barrels, and the wood depends on the taste...an oak, an apple...whatever you are looking for in a wine. Great shot.

I used to make my own wine Lynell but nothing on this scale, and never with grapes, Tea leaves, rose petals, rose hips, elderberry, elderflower even beetroot, and also a range of beers. I still have the equipment in the shed but have not been a drinker for nearly twenty years now so I no longer make them. Blame my mother I say, she started me off. #;0). Excellent capture, showing how the big boy's make it, I have never seen anything like this before, but I have been to a cider makers whilst working on the M5 Motorway in Sommerset, UK. It was on one of the local farms, near to the farm I was staying on. They had a consortium of sorts, one farm would slaughter a beast(bullock) another a pig, another a sheep and this one made Scrumpy, we used to buy it in five gallon drums. #;0) Hic! Hic! three of us every week. Superb work. Bravo!!!!! I haven't any clean jokes just now. Plenty of the other sort though.
