Description

I started modelling Supergirl, but wasn't sure which version I wanted to tackle. Before long, I'd ended up modelling four different versions from different eras. I consider this piece more of a 'sketch' than a finished item, but it was a fun comparison in the different costumes.

Thanks Ruana. Everything in this piece were done with V4, the V4 bodysuit, and trans/tex maps made by myself. The belts are from Hmann and the cape is the V3/M3 morphing cape. I do a lot of postwork in my pieces, though... such as Supergirl #1's puffy sleeves and all their hair-dos (which I painted in photoshop).

All these kudos for just a "sketch"! Will we have to wait long for a finished product, or even an advanced sketch? I hope not.

I personally like number 4, (being male an all ;,) number 2 is the one I'm familiar with! from what I can remember of the movie, but number 5 looks more super heroine IMHO, they all look fantastic though.

Un travail de belle qualité. Toutes les versions sont magnifiques. La dernière est différente et change des couleurs habituelles. Pourquoi pas celle-là.

I absolutely LOVE this! And I would love to see a full-sized render of the 1970s Supergirl (the version on the far left).... that was always my personal favorite of the costumes, I guess because that was the era when I was growing up and reading the comics on a regular basis. Looking forward to more...

I like #4 & #5 I didn't know PowerGirl was SuperGirl

Topcat: Power Girl isn't Supergirl; I put her in there as a puzzled observer to the multiple Supergirls. Kinda tongue-in-cheek. I also wanted to render-test her costume and there's only one version of her.

Great take on Supergirl (all of them). I'd say 1 and 4 would be my favourites.

Nice to see the girls all together like this. Great job. I think Powergirl is the best!

Utterly brilliant image ! The surprise revelation of Power Girl is a nice punchline. If you ever feel like a followup, you might consider adding Cir-el, Andromeda, and the Kingdom Come Kara Z in her LSH outfit. Or alternately, try modeling some of those occassionally odd reader-submitted costumes from the Sekowsky era (the classic hot pants costume was the one good thing to come out of that).
