Description
I had purchased a wacom tablet a while back but never used it. I had been sort of avoiding it because it was alien to me.
I grew up using acrylic paints and sketching with charcol and chalk, mostly inspired by Boris Vallejo and Norman Rockwell, the famous illustrators.
Well over the past few days, I finally took it out and began using it. And WOW! I felt like I was a kid again using my acrylics! It really was a great feeling of having compleate control over my art flow.
This is what I am considering my first real digital painting. I posed the girl and the swing first in Daz Studio, then did the arrainging and adding the other elements in Bryce. Then i concentrated on the lighting. Finnaly I imported it into Photoshop and used the Wacom to "paint" the entire scene.
So basiclly the Byrce render was the under painting. It took me a total of 24 hours over two days to complete the painting. Needless to say, I think it came out better than I expected. I hope you will agree.
I would love to hear your comments and to get any advice on using my new toy, so as always, please feel free to leave a comment and also leave a rating if you would like.

Having absolutly no experience with either Bryce or Wacom tablets, I would be in a poor position to advise on technique, but as a fellow painter, I can certainly admire the skill and time it took to do this and say, with absolute certainty that it is incredible looking. The lighting is amazing and her hair looks stunning. The only issue I really have is that her face, neck and right arm looks a bit washed out in comparison to her legs and left arm (perhaps a trick of my monitor though). An amazing piece and definately shows the time and effort you put into it. Very, VERY well done!
