Description
This is the Lac Alaotra Lemur also known as the Gentle Lemur, it is found exclusively in Madagascar - this particular Lemur lives with other Alaotra Lemurs at Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust in Jersey Channel Islands. They do not live in large groups, not normally more than 3/5, comprising of one male, one/two females and their offspring. Unlike other Lemurs they are good swimmers. They live mainly on bamboo.
