Description
This dedication is for my close friend Nancy or best known as (Burpee) to many. She is a master of many art forms including mixed medium, Vue and Bryce. A trip to her gallery and you will see her natural creativity and if your like me be inspired also. Nancy is such a supportive and wonderful friend and will often put her own personal problems aside to help someone out which is a sacrifice that few would make.
Growing up Nancy loved to spend her time outside and loved bugs, snakes and all kinds of critters. At times she had a bit of a rough childhood and didn't always get along with her older sister Carol as sometimes happens with sisters. One of the things they did enjoy doing together was to ride horses and that is why I chose this lovely memory of Nancy's to share with my friends.
Sisterhood (For Burpee):
Nancy and Carol would walk the two and one half miles to the farm each day to feed, water and care for the horses. When they finished their chores they were allowed to go for a ride. I pictured in my mind little Nancy upon a horse, her feet not able to reach but knowing she was safe because her older sister Carol was watching out for her. So off they would ride on a new adventure, their faithful dog following along all the while to be a part of it. These were the happiest times Nancy said because she felt close to her sister Carol.
I know Nancy would want me to ask you to please keep her nephew Daniel in your thoughts and prayers. Thanks,

A sweet story and render Dave. You did real good on the composition of this render. Many fine details on the enviroment too. A bit funny that her legs is too short for the saddle..hehe. Made me smile a bit. :) It is a nice tribute and childhood memory for Nancy. Gonna take a peek in her gallery if i can find it. Especially because it shows the happy moments with Carol. And nephew Daniel whomever he is.

So similar to my sister and I, she the younger one and I might add, spoiled rotten, lol! Sweet story, sisters are meant to be close but sometimes it just doesn't happen...my sister was 6 years younger and the lifestyle she chose left no room for closeness after she turned 12, its a sad thing as I don't even know if she is dead or alive. I hope some sisters read this and put caring for the younger one in to practice...As I watch the girls next door to me, I see a rift forming between them, I so hope that changes! Beautiful story and image Dave, perfectly executed!

You know I'm a softy for sister stories, Dave! This is beautiful! Wonderful expressions! Carol's shows both watchfulness of the horse and happiness for her sister's enjoyment. Nancy's expression is full of the joy of riding and full trust in her sister. I like the surroundings, where they seem to ben in their own little world, but the mountains in the background give a feeling of adventure too. I like Nancy's feet not reaching the stirrups and the family dog, who seems perfectly in tune with the moment. I read Nancy's comment and see that she and Carol get along famously now. This is good! I can't attest for brothers, not having any, but sisters are a joy of life!

In questa immagine si può vedere una scena bella e fortunatamente piuttosto comune; Nnacy che non va molto d'accordo con la sorella maggiore , sa tuttavia di poter contare su di lei nel momento del bisogno. In this picture you can see a beautiful scene and fortunately quite common that Nancy does not go very well with her older sister, but knows she can count on in times of need.
