what sort of effect were you trying for ? that might help a bit.

Fogs and mists often make lighting difficult. I often will do several renders of alternative skies and surface textures on my work, sometimes it triggers new ideas, often I composite the multiple renders in Photoshop (or if you have a photo-editing tool that lets you use multiple layers try that) to get the effect I'm looking for. Sometimes the best thing to try is go for really extreme lighting/sky settings, and then work back from there. Hope that helps. I think it looks really good, myself!

The contrast could be adjusted,or maybe levels a bit.And Ents are generally much larger.this is a nice image though.Dont be to hard on yourself:D

Very ENTertainiing! I think Tolkeins Ents are fabulous characters - you've done a great job here and I think the lighting works fine.

I can see where the tree ent in your 'FOR DAD' offering, came from, my friend. Your touch is so inventive, and so sure, at the same time. As a Scot, mountains and mist are favourites of mine. Thanks for sharing this offering with your fellow Renderositeers. Warm regards, from a wet and windy Glasgow, John.
