Description

A collage from The Battle of Britain Monument to The Few - commemorating those people who took part in this vital battle of the Second World War. The site is located on the Victoria Embankment (north side of the river Thames) I’ve seen Ronnie’s (PD154) Bob, same subject, different view and great post work, and he wrote me about this monument. I’ve took these pictures and put them together to get out all the parts I didn’t like in the composition to get it full-fledged Take care, have a great day and thanks for your support and kind comments on my previous postings. Also thanks to everyone who added my work as a favorite. Cornelis

Cornelis! This is wonderful! I saw Ronnie's B O B image and amazing post work on it! I really like both of these and all I can say is great minds run in the same channel! A great opportunity to see the same image in different and unique perspectives! Leann

Wonderful action scene. Very often great sculptors are able to do such dynamic poses and this is enhanced by their clothes' folds, as was explained by the great Burne Hogarth in his masterbook "Dynamic wrinkles and drapery". I do not know the original sculpture but the result is technically perfect. This commemorates a great event in favor of freedom. Thanks for posting this!
