I am 58 years young, live in Johannesburg, South Africa and I'm a true product of my continent. I love the bush, the animals, sunshine, sunsets - oh well, anything to do with nature. I am unmarried and have three sons - 37, 33 and 30 respectively and three granddaugters aged 12, 6 and 4 respectively and obviously the light of my life! Photography has always been a passion and I have loved it since I can remember. I was still using a SLR camera and only switched to digital only in late 2007! My other passion is travel and I have been lucky enough to have travelled fairly widely. There are however still many, many places I would love to visit "one day." I am truly an amateur photographer and do it merely as a hobby. So please be gentle when you comment on my work. :-) Thank you Piet, my dear friend, for convincing me to place my work on Renderosity. You owe me one! Hugs, Carin xx

Did you happen to see any flies up there pondering the quantum theory??? LOL This does seem to have a lovely view. Must be the difference in age but I see just one person - me - sitting there, spacing out and letting the old mind wander while the rest of the family is at home running amuck!

for some reason I think it reminds me of Forrest Gump, was there perhaps a cover or poster where he was just sitting there? think the framing might have been similiar....annnnyyway..! great shot - really like the framing and the way the contrast falls off towards the distance, bench shots I think are fascinating, like a 'you could be here enjoying this view' reminder =)
Optiramma

I commented on one of Bruce's images earlier Carin, I suggested the countdown to be done differently, if you did it in months there are only three, when you get to one thats four weeks, when you get to one that is seven days, when you total them that is only 14, a much less number than 83, what do you think? #;0) Well spotted Bruce, for the heart in the top right corner, it looks a beautiful place for lovers to sit holding hands and doing what lovers do. I can just imagine the sun setting atop the hill in the distance, two lovers sitting watching it set. I can also see me living in that house across the valley, what a fantastic view he must have there. Superb capture. Bravo!!!!!
