Description

The first of a series of British Wildlife images taken today at a wonderful place I hope to start to do some photography Work shops in the near future. Red foxes live around the world in many diverse habitats including forests, grasslands, mountains, and deserts. They also adapt well to human environments such as farms, suburban areas, and even large communities. The red fox's resourcefulness has earned it a legendary reputation for intelligence and cunning. Red foxes are solitary hunters who feed on rodents, rabbits, birds, and other small game—but their diet can be as flexible as their home habitat. Foxes will eat fruit and vegetables, fish, frogs, and even worms. If living among humans, foxes will opportunistically dine on garbage and pet food. Thanks for taking time to look and for any comments

I used to work nights driving round the borough of Rochdale Danny, the job was to check all the lighting and report any not working, a bit more to it than that but it will surfice. I used to see foxes quite often, in the center of town as well as the country roads that I traveled. I used to see one regular at the back of the Town Hall, also on the main shopping street. They used to have wooden planters with seating round for the shoppers to rest. They were however raised a couple of inches of the ground. People used to buy hotdogs etc eat and drop them. Along came Mr Rat and made his home in the planters, along came the wily fox for he had found a new food source. Within six months all the planters wer ripped out and replaced by steel seating. This is a fantastic capture in more ways the one, you did well to see him out in the open like this, or is it since the hunting ban he has become braver still? I know it was at the top end of the zoom(or was it) but you still had to be close. Excellent clarity and detail, and I hope your workshops take off. Superb work. Bravo!!!!!

Beautiful shot! What a lovely image of a fantastic creature (yes, I know many a farmer would disagree), they're one of my favorite canids, and you've captured this one spectacularly.
