For the older crowd here LOL that doesn’t know Tim McGraw here is a little blast from the past… Sing along Ronnie, and Jeff NO this is not a GREEN barn, not sure I have ever seen a green barn, but when I do, I will post it just for you! If its out there I will find it don’t you worry.
"Green Green Grass Of Home" The old home town looks the same as I step down from the train, and there to meet me is my Mama and Papa. Down the road I look and there runs Mary hair of gold and lips like cherries. It's good to touch the green, green grass of home. Yes, they'll all come to meet me, arms reaching, smiling sweetly. It's good to touch the green, green grass of home. The old house is still standing tho' the paint is cracked and dry, and there's that old oak tree I used to play on. Down the lane I walk with my sweet Mary, hair of gold and lips like cherries. It's good to touch the green, green grass of home. Yes, they'll all come to meet me, arms reaching, smiling sweetly. It's good to touch the green, green grass of home. Then I awake and look around me, at four grey wall surround me and I realize that I was only dreaming. For there's a guard and there's a sad old padre - arm in arm we'll walk at daybreak. Again I touch the green, green grass of home. Yes, they'll all come to see me in the shade of that old oak tree as they lay me neath the green, green grass of home.

Nice photo. Seeing old barns sometimes makes ya wonder about the life they once had. Enjoy looking at these old barns.

Stunning image, Lynell! And it compliments the song beautifully. Though I'd always heard it sung by Tom Jones. Lovely barn - I love the weathered wood and old silo.

Wonderful shot, and yes, I saw a green barn just the other day. It was a softer green and trimmed out in a natural wood but I thought about how that whole farm was one of the nicest on the whole trip. I figured they raised race horses.

Great photo. I like the angle on the barn with the tower in the background and the piece of old farm equipment in the foreground. Stirs images of hard work and honest living (and sometimes the other way around).

another visit to your 'older' work (hey, it's just last June!)—and oh Lynell, it's just beautiful. It's another of your glorious barns. This piece is awash in reflective blue-tones in the barn walls, on the beautiful slab of roof (which almost looks on-fire—a blue-white fire), in the silhouette of the trees, and in the sky. The slope is sweetly captured, making the barn seem the master of its perch (sitting still on this slanting ground), and that reaper or tiller in foreground (whatever it is!) is a beautiful piece of rusted machinery, singing to the whole piece. Yet above all, the barn sits in closed-up dignity, worn but strong, dominating the shot like an old uncle that everyone loves but who'd rather stay off on his own, so content is he with his solitude...Another small miracle in your gallery, and a fav. Lord...
