Description

Nikon 7900 pocket camera - hand held image. Here is the last of this week's Dragonflies. I hope those interested, managed to get some idea of how to tell boy Dragonflies from girl Dragonflies, lol. Tomorrow I start a week's worth of caterpillars. Thanks to those who take the time to comment. Lee

And even yellow on the wings. Beuatiful. You really have a wide variety of dragonflies around there. I have only seen one kind and it didn't stay long or land on anything. :-( Outstanding work.

I see you saved Gold till last Lee, a wonderful Golden Dragonfly, yellow doesn't seem quite right. So today I go for Gold. It's been a fantastic series Lee thanks not only for the images but for the lesson in sexing them. I have found it both interesting and helpfull, and I know some others have as well. When living in my birth house(my surviving brother still lives there), at the other side of this borough I now live in we used to have a large garden the top of which was left to run wild. there used to be all manner of creepy crawlies, that I used to capture and put in jars to watch them grow. Caterpillars were the mainstay of these. New leaves every day, until the hatched out, into whatever, they were then released back into the garden. I learned the life cycle but never their names. I look forward to the next series. Been an excellent week for me, Thank you. Bravo!!!!!
