Description

Idyllically set on the banks of the river estuary, this mighty fortress is largely intact, and its endless passages, tunnels and stairways are great fun to explore, plus there are super exhibitions, which tell the tale of its medieval life. Once the seat of a succession of major barons who played leading roles in shaping Britain's history, this historic showpiece is the birthplace of Henry Tudor, father to the infamous Henry VIII and grandfather of Elizabeth I. This is the first time I have noticed those arrow slits in the castelation Aled, I have seen them in castle walls before but never along the parapet walkway at the top of the wall. It would take some marksman to get through one of those from ground level. I have seen other shots of this Castle in previous uploads but never noticed it. Excellent capture. Bravo!!!!!

A magnificent castle Aled its an amazing Ponoramic view, I would love to visit here, maybe one day I will afterall its not too far in comparison with some of the places I would love to visit. Thanks for sharing mate!
