Description

I was completely undone when I looked into these eyes, looking straight at me with such an enigmatic gaze. I felt very emotional when I saw the humanity on that face and the sad resignation in its eyes. Thanks very much for looking and thank you very much for your kind and generous comments of late. I truly appreciate it.

Maria - they are the most gorgeous creatures ever!!! Have you seen the movie Gorillas in The Mist? It is about Diane Fossey's work to save the gorillas in Central Africa which led to her untimely death! Heart Wrenching! :)

This is one of the reasons I cannot bring myself to go to the monkey and ape exhibits at the zoo. In fact, there are many exhibits I avoid. Stellar shot.

I looked at the picture before I read what you wrote and my thought was how sad those eyes look. Keeping these wonderful creatures locked up just breaks my heart. But this is sure a stunning capture of this beautiful animal and it sure evokes a lot of emotion.

Heartbreaking, I know .. but what a lovely photo. I love this. I was making my bed this morning and for some reason the image of the apes smelling the flower popped in my head... was that you who uploaded that? Something tells me it was.. I'll have to go back and look. But you nailed it on this one again. Beautiful; excellent work.

I can understand how you felt before these eyes and the general expression of our 'cousin'. I had a thought for the film ' Gorillas in the mist', looking at your stunning and wonderful photograph.

Beautiful creature and capture, Maria. I never ever visit places that keep animals in captivity. I could not bear it. Hugs. Diane.
