It's a Douglas SBD Dauntless dive bomber. It has twin .30 cal machine guns in the rear

Great shot of a classic US Navy dive bomber. It also had twin .50 cal machine guns in the cowling firing thru the prop. This type sank 4 Japanese carriers at Midway in June of 1942.
