I have been using RR for 5 years now and have had my eyes opened to the wonderful artistic talents of you all. I never realised there were so many visual art forms.I have always enjoyed taking photographs simply for my own pleasure and as a marker for events in my life.  I have bought a Nikon D40 DSLR & a Panasonic TZ6, I am very much an amateur. I need to go on a course to understand how to use a digital camera properly as I have real difficulties other than point and shoot.I will post my photographs and hope that some of you will find them pleasant but please remember I am a simple soul!Thank you to those of you who make comments, all are greatly appreciated.  I love looking at your galleries for inspiration. One member has recently used one of my shots from 2008 as a shot produced by him. Whilst I am an amateur, I take things like this seriously (2013) and have now managed to have it removed from his gallery and will do so if anyone else does the same. I wouldn't dream of copyright breaches so cannot understand why someone would do it to me. He has also now uploaded it on the site Art Wanted.com. Alas their moderators are not as responsible and helpful as those on this site. I have 2 exotic cats, Foggy and Boris. I adore my cats.  I am quite sure I will end up as a mad old spinster of a cat woman and do I mind? Nope.Thank you for your support

Excellent shot and the sunbather just 'makes' the image! Well done! :)

good composition, I hope the sunbather can move fast before that big tide comes in.

How interesting, I had no idea about these towers. Great idea making some into holiday apartments though. It looks to be a lovely peaceful spot for a bit of sunbathing too. Great shot Susan, hugs Jane xx

My brother has untold hundreds if not thousands of pictures from his life there. He only came back to England because our mother was seriously ill, he gave up his life in Jersey to look after her. He still lives in the family home our mother though died some twenty three years ago. He still keeps in touch with his friends out there though and visits every couple of years. I never took up his invitation to join him out there, I often wish I had. Nice to hear they are doing something constructive with these wonderful towers, holiday lets will bring some money in as well has keeping them maintained. Excellent capture, and informative read. Bravo!!!!!
