Description

Yes, it's all about Jimi Hendrix!! This is a foto of the Frank Gehry Experience Music Project** in Seattle. It's dedicated to Jimi, he was a Seattle boy. The building is beyond awesome, clad in sheets of metal, and the middle part, seen here, is PURPLE, what else (though I think Tara told me it's also the color of one of the college teams here, and I'll probably be run out of town for not remembering!!). That's the Space Needle reflected in the side; it's just a short distance away. I just discovered Frank Gehry, his work is phenomenal and this is just one of his many stunning works!! **click here

Fantastic shot Marilyn, I like the way you can see the rivets holding the clading on, and the way it is polished showing the reflections. There must be lots of different pov's you can get here. Maybe with the sun from another angle. Awesome! Bravo!!!!!

WooHoo, gimme a tiled break! What a magnificent edifice, illuminated by a spectrum of colors from blazing white, to pink, to purple, Marilyn! Stellar POV, clarity and textural effects in this shot! You were at the right place at the right time. I believe it's the University of Washington Huskies who sport the color purple.
