Description

Taken months ago, in the spring, by the edge of the old road by the pond. Gave it a slight sepia tone to emphasize sunlight. I feel like maybe I didn't do the little plants justice but I tried to make them look primeval or something, not sure if it worked. Tell me what you think.

I think so, they look incredibly tall and prehistoric!

A really interesting capture and I think you have achieved that primeaval look. I love all the detail with the hairs.

The plants themselves look like ostriches looking for their moms! Primeval, yes! And delightful. The only thing I would do—and I come from painting, so you should never listen to me!—is try to get a bit less sky. The plants are extraordinary & I'd love to see more w/ greater focus; the sky doesn't seem to add or detract in my opinion. I could be wrong. But you captured the mystery of the plant kingdom, and once again managed to get an articulate pose out of lifeforms that haven't a clue what poses are. Hairy, bold and a lot of fun. I like that eye of yours. If you're not using it one day, let me borrow it. I could use it in my drawings...
