Description

As we were travelling across the Berywn mountains (Wales) yesterday (about 2000ft up) I spotted the moon right in front of us. Pity it wasn't a bit bigger but you can't have it all can you? Love this road A) The views are stunning B) We met up with only 3 cars along the 30 miles or so down to the A5 Only downside is making sure to avoid the sheep who don't have any road sense. There was even one who'd decided the road was it's bed and had gone to sleep right in the middle of our side. A quick hoot moved it. Hopefully it didn't go back .... I sometimes worry that not all motorists are as 'animal aware' as us... Thanx 4 peekin'

Superb scene, Gill and sounds so peaceful (except for the sheep.) Excellent capture and I, too, at first thought it was Vue.

I love the colors--the green grass, the gold grass, the copper-colored brush..and that blue, blue sky! Summer in the UK is glorious!

I envy you, going to take in the scenery Gill. Whenever I go to Wales, I normally go on business, so I have a deadline and it spoils the enjoyment of the trip, if I'm under pressure. Gorgeous picture! Steve :o)

If people are going to drive somewhere like that, they'd best become animal aware pretty quickly. I saw the results of a collision between a moose and a Pontiac Fiero once on the Mass Turnpike. Not pretty for either of them. There were ambulances pulling up as we went by the scene, the moose was on its side, and the Fiero was pretty much totaled. Also, very pretty picture, and I'm glad your car is a sheep safe zone. ;-)

What a wonderful photograph. It is as wild and rugged as the scottish highlands! The moon in full daylight is an excellent capture. I was wondering if the shadow on the road was one of a UFO that was not in sight at the time,,,

Beautiful photo! We get too spoilt by all those fantasy pictures with giant moons - if they were really that big, they'd be colliding with us!

I see sheep on the road when cycling, they love the heat coming off the tarmac. Nice picture, you captured some gorgeous colours there.
