Description
Hi to All, Thanks for dropping by and for the comments.
My neighbour had this rather large dead Flooded Gum Tree that needed to be removed as parts of limbs were falling off any time, proving somewhat dangerious to people and animals alike.(however I still don't like to see trees cut down).
Enjoy, Have a great day
Cheers, Phill.

Nice series. Taking down a big dead tree like that is never a simple thing.

I had to have an old, old hardwood tree cut down once. It had lost all the upper branches except 2 over the years it was left standing. It had to have been dead for at least 20 years because we lived in that house for 18 and it was dead when we got there. Brilliant people I had come to cut it down did this same thing with the ropes...but tied it to the bumper of their truck with the plan to use the truck to pull it over. DUH! They started pulling from across the wooden fence thinking they could pull it out of the way if they gunned the engine. It came down right on top of the fence! It wouldn't have been too bad except the fence belonged to the business next door!! This is a very cool collage and the shots are very good.

somewhere in my gallery I have a similar situation.it was on a golf course and while I watched from the street, the workers had a rope tied to the tree and was trying to pull it over with a truck.I knew the rope was not enough and sure enough it broke and went flying.good no one was close to get hit.the dumber thing was that they tried a second time. excellent series of captures
