Description
Nothing special here, but the story of the distances these guys migrate is!
The Monarch butterfly is perhaps the most well-known of all the butterflies in North America.
The Monarch is a large butterfly that is noted for its long migrations. Some populations migrate over 2,000 miles in the autumn from southern Canada to the Monarch's winter home in central Mexico and return in the spring, which is a 4,000 mile round-trip during which two, three, or four generations have expended their lives for the offspring to survive in warmer climes. Other North American populations overwinter in California, notably in Pacific Grove where the above photo was taken. Some Monarchs even make trans-Atlantic crossings. Wow! Wassup with these guys??

...so eine schöne Aufnahme! Schade, dass es nicht mehr so viele Schmetterlinge gibt! Wundervoll, dass ich wenigstens ein so schönes Foto davon sehen kann!
