Description

The square where, going to work, I used to take a tram or bus to the station. It's always crowded, especially with school children, and there are always trams and buses stopping - except for the one you want. Retired now, I stopped by this square one Sunday morning last summer. It was so quiet and peaceful, like a scene from a science-fiction novel titled The Day the Machines Stopped. It was weird. The square is called President Woodrow Wilson Square, and it's where a park begins that was the site for the 1913 World's Fair in Ghent, Flanders, Belgium.

The only thing missing is the blowing pages of a newspaper caught in the silent breeze... Gosh, it is spooky! Great shot.
