Description

I did not find an English name for Helophilus pendulus. Anyway.. this is no wasp or bee. It's a hoverfly and it cannot sting at all. It is completely harmless.

We call this the Sun fly the latin name as you correctly call it means "dangling swamp-lover" (from Greek Helos, "marsh, swamp", -phil, "love",) Superb Oskar
