I was surprised to see how clear this turned out. It's pretty good, FOR ME! lol Anyway, this is your typical Boxelder Bug - photo taken on a pine tree out in the front yard. These things are found by the millions around here. They cover trees and homes all over, and in the Fall, can find ways inside the house, but luckily do no damage. They're just PESTS. :) Anyway, I can't believe it's Friday already; the week (my LIFE) is flying by! I wish I could somehow just slow it down. jeezz.. Have a great day -- and wonderful weekend! A really nice mini-portrait! When I was a kid we had a big Boxelder tree, always covered with the Boxelder bugs. To me they are just like lightning bugs with the lights off.

Supremely super macro of the insect amidst the fronds and floral whatnot in this shot, young lady! Well, the Boxelder Bug may be commonplace, typical and ubiquitous to you, Sharilyn, but I'd never even seen or heard of the bugger before! And, as for life flying by...it feels like I'm in a time warp the way the days gallop along. Quite a sobering impact when one is as ancient as I am. And, your summer may be just beginning, but ours started late last April, with a series of oppressive heat waves I can gladly do without. In fact, it was in the upper 90s fahrenheit around here today. Relief promised by Monday.
