Description
I took this photo this morning while walking the dog. The Grey Heron is notoriously nervous of people, so I had to stand a short distance away, and use full optical and digital zoom on my camera in order to get a good picture.
I cropped the photo and resampled it in Corel PhotoPaint, to match my desktop resolution. The digital zoom had reduced the picture quality dramatically, so I used Painter 5.5 to apply "depth of field", resulting in this watercolour-like effect.
