Description

A modest gathering at the Callanish Stones for this years summer solstice.. I haven't been near the stones the past couple of years at solstice time...I'm not really a "gathering" sort of person. ..but then I'm spoilt enough to have them to myself a lot of the time. One of the most magic things to me is to stand amongst the Standing stones all alone on a moonlit night. Some people that go to tonights event upset me quite severely a couple of years ago..both with things they did and things they said. So mostly I stay away..and especially at Solstice time..but tonight I plucked up the courage to go up and take a couple of photo's to share. :) Thanks for LOoking Fairy Blessings Emma

Never been to the Isle of Lewis to see this circle. Looks awesome!! We have a number of stone circles here in the West country (there's some nice ones in Cornwall and a few in Devon where I live. Super photo Emma :)

I think its always best to join a group for the celebration where you know everyone and know they will stay withing reason. I was invited to one once and didn't know anyone but the person who invited me. I asked a few questions and found out there was a possiblity I'd be very uncomfortable with a few people and how they celebrated... This is a great shot. I wish I was near enough to visit some standing stones. We have a few crop circles around here but its just not the same. LOL
