Description

Yes, in England we have gardens, not 'yards' ;-) Actually, a thought on that - in U.S. do you have 'Yarding Centers' like we have 'Gardening Centres' ??????????? Rather than take a photo, I've done this just looking out of the window to my left. Problem was, it got dark before I finished so had to do part of it from memory ;-) The one difference is the greenhouse. We haven't actually GOT one yet - only the space ready to put one! Men....why do they take so long to 'get round to doing' things!!! For reference, on left we have a small conifer, an Elder tree that's about 3 yrs old, the rocks go around a fish pond. Then somee rose bushes and a forsythia. On the right out of shot is our patio furniture but the parasol is just seen ;-) 2 bay trees with a honeysuckle inbetween. There's a little fenced off patch down the bottom in front of the 'almost there' greenhouse for veggies. The shed IS L--shaped - he had 2 sheds and joined them together! All across the bottom is a very old row of large hawthornes that screen us nicely from the houses behind :) I'll take a photo and post it just for the fun of it .... maybe not tomorrow though - not with the weather that's forecast!! Thanx 4 peekin' Here's the photo taken 2 days later....

You got a good memory! lol. Your garden beats mine hands down, I live in the bottom flat of a block of 4, not much garden there. Can I come sit in yours when the sun comes out?

This is lovely...almost like I pictured it :-) We have garden centers here as well. Actually, I have a yard, but I also have a garden where we've planted veggies and flower beds where the flowers are, mostly next to the house to give it some color and personality. I suppose you could call that a flower garden...we do that sometimes as well. Guess it depends on who we're talking to and what terminology they use :-) Anyway...lovely image!

"Yarding Centers" Lol! I don't know why we call them yards here, though 'garden' indicates some cultivation other than just grass. Beautiful garden you have, and an excellent render!

Looks very real. First thing I thought was 'Ooo- she has a green house, I want one'. I didnt have one in the UK and I dont have one here in Colorado :( I like to grow flowers and vegetables from seeds and its very hard with no greenhouse. Anyhow your garden and image are great!

Oh that's a nice garden you've got there :D And I never say any Yarding Centers when I lived in the US...LOL As for men and doing things I've come to the conclusion that if you want it done you should do it yourself ;) Faster that way :D I guess the overcast means that you have rain today like I do.

They are called Garden centers.I think the reason they are called yards is because of measurement for some dumb reason.BEautiful image Gill

We have yards, because "garden" makes it sound like it's going to look good. LOL. There's also the front yard/back yard thing. Do you guys have front and back gardens? I feel like my yard is too complicated to consider a garden. Also, it's a mess. LOL. Hats off to your Vue and your gardening skills. :-)
