Description
Within munutes of striking the submerged ice, the huge vessel slid to her grave. There were no survivors.
(The Lutine Bell is the most famous symbol of Lloyd's of London. It is traditionally rung to herald important announcements to underwriters and brokers - one stroke for bad news and two strokes for good. It came from the the french frigate La Lutine which surrendered to the British in 1793. After it sank, six years later, the 80 lb bell was recovered from the wreck and hung in the underwriting room which Lloyd's occupies in the Royal Exchange in the City of London).

Very powerful image and well presented. A real sense of despair and loneliness in this one. Tony :-)

An acquaintance met me on the beach in a tough love setting of Lloyd's portable radio with broken antenna. A few years later an abandonned tramp steamer ground up on that beach and sat there. I saw it on the TV from my abode 1700 miles away. Heroin is a man made product.
