As kids we used to laugh and say "two years in the making" referring sometimes to an elephant calf and sometimes to the various models of towns and other civilizations that appeared as attractions at the county fair accompanied by a caption that such and such Austrian or other European had made the diorama before you in two years of constant wood carving. The circus model at the Ringling Museum in Sarasota, Florida upgrades this to a lifetime. There is ease and fustration expressed here with getting all the things made and positioned just so. Where scaling was too ambiguous the hand painting serves well. All in all it is more geometric than the Duc du Barry. A very large dog may be required to baptise the fire hydrant.

Very fun image Evie. Everyone loves a good toon town. Looks like quite a bit of effort was spent on this and I'm sure was a lot of fun to create. Sometimes one needs to just let their hair down and enjoy doing something for the sake of doing it. Excellent piece of work that brings the kid side out of all of us.
