actually it's a composite. so animating it is kinda hard to do.

I wouldn't think it's hard. Just use a normal plane in the background. Turn off the visblity in the render optoin and leve the shadow on and you have it looking like StarWars in no time. Unless you have the Reflections up like I do. THEN it might take some work. :)
