Hey people, So here's how it stands - the entirety of my last week or so's pictures have been from sunrise. I've tried to keep them varied enough to keep them interesting but even I'm getting a little tired of posting similar subject matter. Thing is, I've still got at least ten shots I think are good enough that I'd be happy to post them on here... I did take a LOT of shots on those outings as I'd never made it out before for sunrise (at least not to take photos) and was being pretty comprehensive about the whole thing... this has meant it's taken a while to sift through them and having done so I kind of want to post them and move on... but don't worry I'm not turning my gallery into some kind of sunrise showcase..(!) Having said that I definitely want to post another two from the beach, and possibly another two (not including this one) from the rocks. The thing is I haven't been out on many shoots lately but when I have I've really let loose with the shutter finger, meaning too many files to deal with, and not much variety in location! Now that I've freed up a bit of space on my hard drive though I'm going to be heading out into the summer days afresh looking for things of interest... so please bear with me during my sunrise period ;) The start of another week, wishing you all a good one.... today must be the first Monday I've been looking forward to in a while as my first ever prints from my SLR are due to arrive and I'm very curious/eager to see how they turn out! This shot was taken from a similar spot to yesterday's post, less than 50m away, and only a few minutes apart. Adam (oh, and a new avatar today, felt like a change and thought it kind of matched with my username ;))

rockstrider - thanks =D no filters, only the UV which lives on the front of this lens.. come to think of it i'm not even sure what a starburst filter is..!

I do like your sunrise series so I am happy to see another or another 3-4. They truly nice and a great location. Like that star "effect" of the sun. My Canon 400d does it too without a special filter. Great to get night shots with lots of light source.

This moment is magical with the star burst of sun over the clouds at the horizon. Stellar shot and I have no problem looking at the same thing over and over. It is what gives us practice and helps us to grow and become better and better.
