Description

So I was reading a book recently about the hidden symbolism used in the building of ancient monuments,temples,churches and Masonic Halls.... I've never really known much about Geometry but I came up with this design in Photoshop by starting with a simple circle and using that to produce all the angles. In this image you can see the 24 hours of the day, the Lunar calender, the four seasons, the constellations, the points of a compass, the Summer and winter Soltice and both Equinoxes etc,etc,etc...... If you know where to look...^_^... All work done in Photoshop. TFV.

What is a steradian and why are we ever mindful of it? Getting past constellations to trying to figure how big a star is is a fine point I agree. But the real fun is a window to launch to a planet or the exact period of an orbit to decide when to add velocity to create a circle out of a huge ellipse. Similarly believing slowing down to the circular orbit speed at half apogee may not work is a tangle. Pictures help. The mind is abstract even when confused. When you can finaly answer what time is it on the moon when it is 3:00PM in New York you understand what stick in the muds we were before the 20th century. Maybe the burning man can build a temple to exact coordinates on Jackass Flats where the sun kissed the earth after putting on it's Bikini.
