Description

It wasn't what you thought, was it? Those of us of a certain age will remember the shock and scandal of George Carlin's famous "Seven words you can never say on T V." He was an amazing comedian. I loved his wit and biting humor! He wove himself into the fabric of our culture and for a lot of us, into our lives by his fascination with words, and more importantly, how he used those words to make us think and consider what was happening in our world right under our noses. So as a tribute to him I have Seven Words I would like to use to describe him: Honest Irreverent Eclectic Witty Satirical Funny Iconoclastic Goodbye George, You will be sorely missed!

this is a wonderful piece to dedacate to a man who shaped my idea of a comedian. I have so many of his CD's my fav is the best of the best of his, that best buy had for sale one year. His seven words, are well still the seven that should never be spoken on TV and find me a movie other than kids, many of them are not in

Yes indeed, a comedic icon. A part of my past that is remembered fondly with a smile. They arrested him for those 7 words! Funny....Nothing funny about this beautiful piece of work, though. Very stunningly beautiful. I am going to post it on the desktop here at work. Cudos...Lea!

I really like the texturing of the weaves, it's quite beautiful. I was wanting to do some sort of tribute to him as well. He was indeed a legend.

Such wonderful creative work, Lea. Beautiful image and a great tribute to George Carlin. I'm with Daff- didn't always appreciate his humor..or agree with his views, but I did like the "hippy-dippy mailman" routine, and I admired his honesty.
