Description

This photo was taken some 6 years ago from the London Eye, it was late afternoon and a misty old day. You can clearly see the old Battersea Power Station made famous by Pink Floyd and their enormous inflatable pig, made by Zeppelin, for the album "Animals" launched in 1977. As an added bit of useless information, the pig went missing from a Southern Californian music festival in April 2008 and was found in shreds in the desert. A sad ending to a 31 year old prop. However, the main focus of this photo is of course the Houses of Parliament, and Big Ben. Much building work is shown but as this was taken so long ago maybe someone will have a more updated capture I could see. I might even go on the eye again just see this for myself! A full size view shows wonderful detail. xx

The last time, long ago, I downloaded a picture of London it was of the central business district as seen from the east end. Great picture, magnificent rock group.
