Description
This was from yesterday morning. First I noticed a small dragonfly on the grass outside the office when I was walking up. I had my hands full of coffee and a box of doughnuts...had to put them down. I gently reached my fingers under the dragon fly not knowing it if were alive and it held the grass tight. So- back to my truck for the camera.
Now silly me , picked my right hand to lift the dragonfly off the lawn ...now how do I get a photo...so with my left hand I put the camera on my forearm. Turned it on, slid it to macro/auto focus...awkwardly reached over the camera clinging to it from the top and peeking at the dragonfly over it, blindly pushed the shutter. Great luck! I got the camera strap around my neck and took the critter to a peony and off loaded it. I also took two shots on the flower and so on. Thanks for following along and in advance for any comments you leave. -GB- p.s. This needs a full size view too

A great shot of the dragon fly, shows how much I know about them, when I was a young lad someone told me that they can give a nasty painful sting so I have kept away from them let alone pick one up. the tiny droplets of water just make this spectacular!

I enjoyed the story a lot. I have done this before and it does give me a double dose of good feeling...to assist a soggy bug and to get a great shot in the process. Super job.
