This is marvelous! And we have a rhyme about the old woman in the shoe! I wonder what their nursery rhyme says about the old bug and the brood! What I find really fascinating is the back of this adult. It appears it has a button to keep its "cape" closed.

Yes, it is a Palomena prasina. They can spray a not so good smelling stuff if they think danger is around. Cool picture. Coicidentally I just met a distant - green colored - relative of "your" mamma insect. IN-Sect?
