Description

If I had hair that luxuriant and beautiful, and if I were experiencing the luxuriance of perhaps someone brushing that hair or a good neck rub, I certainly don't think I would be putting on such a sour puss!! This is a black Howler Monkey, btw. My father said he heard one of these "howl" in the jungles of Panama, and it scared the daylights out of him! Thanks so much for your kind views and comments.

We have howlers at our zoo and its the first thing I go to see when I'm there. You can hear them as you walk into the park. They are just marvelous but they do always seem to have a sad or irritated look to them. This is a precious shot well done with clarity and good composition.

I heard one of these at the San Diego Zoo several years ago, and it goes right through you. Excellent capture of this fine animal. We didn't get a chance to see one this close at that time.
