I was born in the flat lands of Kansas in a family of nine. My love of images started when I was 11 in the mid60s and my mom brought home a box full of Life and Look mags. Being the middle child, withdrawn and depressed. I took these images, cut them up made collages to express myself. My Art form begain and so too my love of Photography. I still make Collages from found objects. But once I got my computer I turned to 3D Art. Then replace my old SLR with a digital and here I am. I now live on a small Island in the Puget Sounds. With my husband and two cats and a menagerie of wild life.

Wow, wonderful capture! Are those two immature ones? Their colors aren't quite the dark glossy speckles of the other. Great work!

Mrs RatBag ask about the immuture birds. The blackbird is a Breeding one, the plain grayish-brown are juvenile.

An enchanting capture, Bonita. It would grace any nature book. Wonderful work. I have just put peanuts out in my garden for Mr Badger who visits on a night. Hugs. Di. xx

I love to watch birds feeding the babies. The babies flap and shake and squawk so funny. This is such a great moment to freeze in time.

I watch this happening all the time at my feeder in the garden, it always stikes me as funny how the chicks are much plumper than the mother thats feeding them. Also how the chicks sit in the feeder yet still open their mouths for mum to feed them. I have just been watching a couple of sparrows do exactly the same. The sparrow chick is inside the feeder and eating breadcrumbs but as soon as mum goes near the mouth opens up and mum feeds it some more. Excellent capture, I wish I could get them this claer at my feeder but it is right at the bottom of the garden and as soon as I open the door they are off. Superb work. Bravo!!!!!

Watch out with a bird feeder... before you know it, bird looking like C5 transports try to land on it... they'll take out a feeder, a porch and half your house ;-)
