Thank you Cytisus, for commenting on one of my earlier post of a Death Valley flower. You had said you didn't see any flowers when you were there several years ago. They don't have very big blooms every year, only in wetter years like this one. March is an excellent time to go! I go every year, but not just for flowers, the place is an overwhelming expanse that one could never see all in a lifetime!

although I am not fond of the desert, I do like to see it when the flowers all bloom in the spring. March is my favorite time to visit and even in dry years, you can usually find a spot or two with amazing patches of color. This is a great shot of a peak year in Death Valley. And I agree, it is a must to go see it at least once in your life.
