One I just caught in time before he started with his short and shaky flight. :) Thanks for looking and your comments.

Wonderful! I love this capture, and particularly, seeing wings through the wings!

You bring forward some very interesting forms of life. In fact, life seem to be the theme of your gallery. I enjoy every entry.

This shot shows great timing or great fortune or both. I know from experience, flying bugs do not assume this position for long. I have shot hundreds of shots and spent hours trying to synchronize - when I push the button- when the bug is at this point in his flight decision - and when the camera actually clicks. I have one barely acceptable capture of a Ladybug a moment after takeoff, lol. Great capture and thanks for sharing. Lee

Fantastic moment - well done. I saw one of these flying round the other day with a bird trying to catch it - but the bird seems to be a little frightened of it too.

Wonderful timing. Like to see how the wings flip open (hope I use the right words lol). It´s one of the greatest wonders of nature. Thanks for the kind words on my picture of the Large Skipper. Greetings from Germany.

Great shot at the perfect time. I would love to get an insect with its wings out like this. Really nice.
