Description

The original "flat frog" was taken last year so this sequel's been a long time coming. I'm pretty sure it's a different frog. They were very cooperative and floated still while I awkwardly hovered over the puddle with one foot on the edge and the other on a small rock. My thighs still hurt a day later. Postwork: Slight extra background blurring, brightened the colors a little. Same as usual in other words. See you guys later. EDIT: not assuming gender in frogs anymore (because if you think about it, that just makes no fucking sense -- it's not like they can tell us what gender they are -- plus it's cissexist and binarist). sorry about that.

Great POV and a very cooperative frog. I cannot count the times I have almost taken a dip while reaching out to get Dragonfly shots. When I find myself in those positions my uppermost thought is - keep the camera dry no matter what happens and when I am back on solid footing my first reaction is - WHEW - then I look to see if I got the shot, lol. A bit of stiffness is not too much to pay for such a neat capture. Thanks for sharing. Lee

full-size this feels like a frog in the middle of an endless swamp. It's downright sultry. As always your eye for sheen is keen, in the frog's head and reflection in the water. A fine shot, and worth the discomfort in the thighs. (Well, for me at least.) Do you think the frogs are getting to know you by now? This frog looks like he's enjoying being demure. And the water is wonderfully murky & creepy & disgusting: terrifically dank. (Good frog water, right?) Kudos as always...
