Description

An overall view of the river from my last post. This was taken from another hike after. The trail is thru those trees on the right and work your way up. When I do walk thru the forest area, I always carry some mosquito repellent or get eaten alive. Aloha and thank you for viewing

I like how the water is so clear you can see the rocks~ Wonderful! :::sigh::: got eaten up with chiggers (no-see-ums) when I went through the unmown tall grass to the tackroom/storage yesterday. All bloodsuckers love me and I forget to put on repellant. agh~

I guess you'd better eat some garlic before the hike... I don't think they like it much. This is my favorite of this series!! So beautiful & peaceful... Aloha...

A beautiful shot - I wonder how cold the water is? It could be nice to take off the hiking boots and soak feet at this point. The biting insects are the same here, parasitic nasties hanging around the water areas. Excellent capture my friend!!

This reminds me of a place I used to swim in as a kid...in Scotland! Lovely, atmospheric photo.

Superb shot! the mozzies would put me off though! On Brownsea Island in Poole harbour they do say that 2 of their mosquitos could carry you away!

I would put up with the smell of insect repellent for an hour or two wandering up this stream. Gorgeous!!

Glorious scene - so utterly peaceful... I just totally dislike mozzies... to me they serve no purpose on this planet other than annoying humans and animals alike. I will have to bath in repellent before you would get me in there!!! lol...

Are your mosquitos as big as the ones in Texas and Louisiana? They grow them jumbo size. I hear someone actually caught a mess of them, dipped them in batter and friend them up like shrimp for an afternoon snack! Ok, maybe that's a tall Texas tale but I know they are big ones! Bugs and all, this looks so great... And what is your snake situation there?

LOL! I wish you had posted this two days ago, as today I am in misery from a couple dozen chigger bites! I always wondered if Hawaii had a lot of mosquitoes too, now I know. Nice shot.
