When the last eagle flies Over the last crumbling mountain And the last lion roars At the last dusty fountain In the shadow of the forest Though she may be old and worn They will stare unbelieving At the Last Unicorn When the first breath of winter Through the flowers is icing And you look to the north And a pale moon is rising And it seems like all is dying And would leave the world to mourn In the distance hear her laughter It's the Last Unicorn I'm alive... I'm alive When the last moon is cast Over the last star of morning And the future is past Without even a last desperate warning Then look into the sky where through The clouds a path is formed Look and see her how she sparkles It's the Last Unicorn I'm alive... (The Last Unicorn - by America) ~~~~~ Trumpeting a call of greeting to the still slumbering morning sky, a shimmering silver touched stag calls to the still of the forest as his mate and offspring wander into the Greenwood to start their day. The proud little Princeling fawn, struts at his watchful mother's side. Playfully gamboling among the clusters of wildflowers and errant drifting leaves. Tracking down the dangers of the glossy rainbow beetle and playing hide and seek with groups of squirrels when he isn't chasing the bushy bob of a young red fox's tail. When dusk falls, he nestles to his mother's warm side, comforted and contented by her presence. Fantastic image, my dear. LOVE the title and the use of the lyrics from the Last Unicorn (Now I have to go listen to it!!) Your horsies look lovely, a wonderful assortment of poses that work ideally for each character, and I LOVE the shadows of the leaves against the stag's side there. Well done!
