Description

Ah, yes, this IS my favorite place to swim and hang out in the summer. It's on the Eel River, the same one I walk along so often, but upstream about 15 miles. This has wonderful sandy beaches, deep pools, is surrounded by redwoods and sometimes I just get lost in the beauty of it all. Hawks soar overhead, it's quiet (unless a car full of kids shows up, but that's ok, too), and I love it!!

Is it named Eel River because it meanders like one or because it is full of them? Just reading into PJ's comment lol. I can imagine her reluctence to swim with them, haveing caught plenty on hook and line, I hate the damn squirmy things. Have you ever tried to unhook one? roflmao. Comedy aside it looks to be a charming place to spend a while, to take a dip or just sit and ponder as Alan pointed out, I could do without the car full of kids to spoil the tranquility, but would not spoil their joy if it happened. A wonderful capture of a wonderful place. Excellent work Marilyn. Bravo!!!!!
