Description

Here you can see a part of the old auditorium of the Ruprecht-Karls-University in Heidelberg. It was build in the year 1712 and redesigned once more in the year 1886.

If a gymnasium is a high school in Germany what is an auditorium. I imagine the scraping of folding chairs and the tapping on a microphone for attention. Then someone is introduced, maybe Glenn Cunningham, the mile runner, whose toes were burend off in a schoolhouse fire. I bought Helmholtz book about acoustics at one time and read it.
