Not sure Mick, without seeing how tall it is and the leaf etc! I don't know about you, but I'm getting more and more interested in wild flowers, and the wee beasties that live on them. This pic says 'summer'!

excellent capture Mick, these look beautiful in big wide open fields but i try to keep them off my little lawn at home. :-)

Like Andrea I'm not sure without seeing the leaf, I do know there is another one with a seed head much like this. Also like Andrea the photography has made me more aware of the tiny things that surround us. The little criters and the flowers both have become more interesting to me now. Excellent capture, your macro work has also improved quite a lot, and you seem to be taking a lot more close ups now. I get withdrawl symptoms if I do not press the shutter release at least twice daily Lol. Superb work. Bravo!!!!!

I agree with Jeff; photography let see us things more clear and with more awareness. I´m not in macro butmaybe I should try it. This is a clear, sharp shot - and it looks good! Wonderful.

Pretty sure it's a "dandylion", though when they've taken over your yard, you don't think they're quite so dandy!! Awesome macro at any rate!!

Sure is a dandelion Mick, I'm with Debz on this one as I used to blow the seeds off as well. Tried to do it in one blow as a sort of competition at junior school ... oh happy days. Tony :-)

Wild flower indeed, each year we suffer from them in our garden --------- but nevertheless a very fine capture, its a "paardenbloem", dandelion in my opinion. If I translate the dutchname "paardebloem" in to english it will look like double-dutch ------ Horses-flower. Their are an awful lot of different species which often are really look a likes!! Have a very nice evening on your side of the Northsea!! Henk
