This one started out ok.. but I'm not really pleased with how it turned out. Any ideas as to how to improve it would be helpful.
Thanks :)

the dragon needs more personality. change his eyes.

Mm... bucktoothed dragon... Well, lets see.. I'd say make smaller scales for the head, perhaps change the tex color. Also add some sort of expression to the dragon's face.. It's just staring blankly. Also, I agree about adding more shadows, especially to the dragon. Perhaps add specularity/reflection to the girl's bracelet.. That's about all I can think about. =)

Looks great but her arm could use some post work touch up, and the skull seems like it is unnaturaly placed on her leg. Good Job!

I thinking more for the Dragon too. Maybe a different color and/or texture on it. It definitely needs more shadows. It looks kind of flat to me.

The dragon and the cave walls where the straight lines are need retexturing. The lighting is too bright. It should be dim and moody, perhaps a bit blueish. I think I'd also add a bit of haze to soften things up. I'd also move the skull so it doesn't look like it's right against her knee. She also needs a travel pack, and a weapon of some kind.

Break the scene down into it's parts and perfect them on there own. Work on the portal/background, then the dragon, then the girl. And remember some times a simple dirt texture is better then a complex bump mapped surface texture.

The dragon needs retexturing, you may also try throwing it in photoshop and adding a little lens flare to the energy in her hand. You are using a compliment color on the dragon but since the portal is a brighter purple and blue you may try giving the dragon a more metalic texture if you are going to keep the same color.

Looks good to me.... maybe a few minor post things, but as a whole...mighty fine

Looks terrific to me & the only thing I'd change would be the dragon texture or coloring. Verdie : )
