This one is made with Ronnie Sefton's formulas.
I am becoming very distraught. For the past 3 days I have noticed that some of the Rosity images look garbled, corrupted, hashed, or whatever you want to call it, on my monitor screen. When I look at the same images on my daughter's pc, they look perfect. It seems that about every 10th image or so is affected. Sometimes its the avatar, sometimes its the normal image and sometimes its the zoomed image. The problem usually appears as bands of garbled pixels across the bottom of the image and image details are misplaced, miscolored, or distorted. Sometimes the bands are wide, sometimes they are narrow, and sometimes they appear in the middle of the image. The problem doesn't seem to occur with photos, just fractals. I have visited other websites where fractals are posted such as Caedes, DA, Manscostyle, and a few others, and I have not noticed the problem. It only occurs on Renderosity. I have also noticed some of the text outside of the images is also occasionally garbled, but if I use the slider bar to slide the page up or down it corrects the text, but not inside the images. I am using a Gateway GT5674 four core processor, 3gb ram, with Windows Vista. I've had this computer for about 2 months now and have only noticed this problem in the past 3 days. My daughter has an older HP pc running Windows XP.
Has anyone else had this problem? Any ideas?

This is a beautiful fractal, I love the little lights in the green spheres. Sorry I can't help with your PC problems. You may find that the problem just goes away or you could contact the Renderosity moderators if you think it's this site. Tony :-)

Sorry, no help from me. I've not had that problem with R'osity. I'm running XP on an older HP, too. Prolly one of the MS updates messing things up again.... Love your spiral, as usual, and I'm glad I could see it properly. :)

A total beauty, Anne! Wish I had some ideas for you about your fractal viewing trouble. I think Tony's suggestion is a good one, though. If nothing else it could rule out something...

So elegant and beautiful. Splendid creation! I had a problem similar to yours several months ago. I cleared my internet cookies and it fixed the problem. You might try it. :o) Bunny

Your images having been looking great. This one is a real beauty. As to your monitor, you might want to do what Bunny suggests. I clear my cache and stuff on a somewhat regular basis. But it could also be your video card is having a conflict somewhere. Sorry I can't be of any help.

Well, I have tried Bunny's suggestion, but it still isn't working any better. (Thanks Bunny) I have sent an email to the Rosity folks and also to Microsoft. I just hope I don't have to take this pc back to the store. What a pain that would be!

Absolutely gorgeous fractal! As to your computer problem, sometimes when I'm looking at images in here on r'osity, it does get a bit weird in that the pics will come up smashed together, kind of on top of each other--at least, some of them will, and others won't. The text might be messed up too, or missing, on some of them. But if I refresh the page, it comes back up the way it's supposed to look, and everything's just fine. I have no idea why that happens, but it's not that rare, really. All I can figure is that it's something with the site...but as I say, all I have to do is refresh the page, and everything is fine after that. Your experience seems to be even more extreme, and I'm not really sure what to tell you....I might check with my husband, who works in computers, and see what he says, if anything. If he's got any suggestions, I'll let you know! hugs

It's a gorgeous image and I'm sorry to hear of your predicament. I hate puter problems, cause I am such an amateur at diagnosing and fixing them. Plus, they ain't cheap...so much luck to you, I hope your problem has been fixed!
