Description

This critter was just resting on my patio. I've never seen one before. Lucky for me, he didn't take off while I ran in to grab my camera. Then since I couldn't decide which shot to upload I made a collage. From what I read about this bug, it's not so good for soy bean crops... but since I don't have any soy beans I guess I shouldn't worry ;) Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment and even favoriting some of my previous uploads. My last upload, "Desert Sunset". I have taken hundreds and hundreds of photos lately. Now I am hoping to be able to go through them and even share some. Have a Great Weekend! ~Melinda~ By the way, I left the photos here nice and big if you want a close up look. (The actual size of this bug was about this size of a penny, or a bit over 1/2 inch)

Super duper collage of the little critter, caught at a variety of angles, Melinda! The latin prefix Chloro is perfect in this instance. It implies both the color green and the pungent odor emitted by the insect.

nice shots, but not having soya will not save you from their smelly attentions, as they also have a thing for freshly laundered clothes, crawling inside and then getting upset when you decide to move their residence or to do the ironing. the good news is that very sudden death, which also leaves the bug intact, can avoid a stink.
