Description

The Mother Bird had built her nest in kind of a crappy location. Low to the ground and fairly unprotected by shrubbery. I shot this in late afternoon then high winds of a storm we never got blew the nest and babys to the ground. Used a paper towel to scoop them up, put them back in the nest and placed them back in the same crappy location. Think that's important to Mother birds. Anyway it worked as she came back to care for them. Love a happy ending.

I thank you for not bowing to the old misconception that if you touch them or the nest, the mother will abandon them. This has killed more babies than the falls have. Only a few species will lose their motherly instinct and leave the next to starve or be eaten by others. An adorable shot and I'm anxious to know how they make out after this setback.
